The Maxi Edmond de Rothschild 3rd into Fort-de-France
The ULTIM podium for the 2023 edition of the Transat Jacques Vabre - Normandie Le Havre is complete. After the Maxi Banque Populaire XI, outright champion of the Coffee Route, and runner-up SVR-Lazartigue, the Maxi Edmond de Rothschild is the third giant to make landfall in Martinique. It was at 17:10 hours (local time), 21:10 hours (UTC) this Tuesday 14 November, that she crossed the finish line in Fort-de-France Bay. A much-appreciated daytime arrival, it gave rise to some fabulous images to conclude this epic transatlantic with Gitana 17 fully powered up in flight mode as she passed the famous Diamond Rock, as well as enabling the public to come out in force to welcome the duo of Gitana Team. The intense racing of the past 16 days 9 hours 5 minutes and 43 seconds was etched on their faces, but the beaming smiles of Charles Caudrelier and Erwan Israël as they crossed the line spoke volumes about their delight at being able to complete this race.
