WAYPOINT, Gitana Team’s new round the world rendez-vous
Every Thursday, throughout the Arkea Ultim Challenge, the Gitana Team will offer you the complete low-down on Charles Caudrelier’s race aboard the Maxi Edmond de Rothschild. Through its weekly video broadcast, you’ll discover on-board images, an analysis of the weather and strategy as delivered by the members of the routing cell, plus we’ll take you behind the scenes of the five-arrow racing stable when its flagship is racing. This rendez-vous will conclude with a long interview from the ocean each week with a different distinguished guest. Charles will share his thoughts and feelings with us throughout this epic adventure.
For this first episode of WAYPOINT and with 24 hours to go until the start of the Arkea Ultim Challenge - Brest, the PolaRYSE teams take us through the final preparations with the Maxi Edmond de Rothschild’s ‘personal bodyguard, who will be tweaking every last detail right the way to the starting signal. We’ll also be introduced to the trio of experts that make up the routing cell and its operating methods, before being treated to a guided tour of the Maxi Edmond de Rothschild with her master: Charles Caudrelier.
